In 1996 Jack and Mary Geldi founded The Community
Music School of Southwest Florida. They will contribute
a portion of their earnings from real estate transactions to this important
charitable endeavor.
CMS provides quality music instruction to people of any age, race,
experience, and ability to pay. More than 1,000 students have received
music theory, history and appreciation courses, learned to play an instrument,
or had vocal lessons.
Highly qualified music faculty train high school students to be soloists,
perform in ensembles, bands, orchestras and choruses in most music genres.
Retirees and the middle aged learn to play instruments and sing.
Inner-city preschoolers are introduced to music. Special Olympians,
Girl Scouts, Police Athletic Leaguers, Girls Inc., Boys and Girls Club,
and Bradenton's 13th Avenue Community Center kids discover and expand
hidden music talent.
CMS makes a difference in people's lives. That's why the Geldis
help.
